While stud earrings are very cool in so many ways but WhimZ girls know that gorgeous clip earrings can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. For me there is just something about the longer designs that can look so elegant. Never really considered wearing those longer length earrings? Time seems to be a commodity in short supply, there so much to do and not enough time to do it in. Hasn't time flown! Its the beginning of February already, where did January go? Perhaps we missed it being so busy...

Well here we are in the middle of the year, how time flies when you are having fun. And it certainly has ever since I have been working with Whimz Girls Clip Earrings!

It’s true that every piece of jewellery has a story to tell. Regardless of how much it costs that favourite piece will always be worth more than money!
The world recently witnessed the auctioning off of the late Elizabeth Taylors jewellery at the beginning of April, I don’t think that there has been so many highly prized pieces of jewellery under one roof before. Among the stunning pieces that Christie’s auctioned off was a pair of the most gorgeous Bvlgari Yellow and white diamond earrings.
I did some research on these earrings and found out that they were given to Elizabeth while filming in Europe. These were presented to her at her 30 th Birthday bash in 1969 as a gift from her fourth husband Eddie Fisher. Apparently she dismissed them; hardly looking at them; by that time in her career she had become totally infatuated with fellow co-star Richard Burton and didn’t want to have anything to do with Fisher including these earrings! But she accepted them albeit ungraciously (which I think you will agree was a wise thing to do). A very disgruntled Eddie Fisher then returned home to the United States and promptly sent her the bill for them. What an intriguing story and a real insight into the life of a Hollywood legend! A total world away from anything us mere mortals experience. Big bold classical style earrings such as these will always be timeless. These types of designs never truly age and only grow in glamour; this has been proven by the popularity of the auctioned jewels in Elizabeth’s collection.
